Ctrl-K goes directly to the search bar.
Ctrl-L (and Alt-D*) go to the location bar.



*I'm trying to break the habit of using Alt-D because some sites use that as a shortcut. I.e. Mediawiki sites use it for "Delete" and that can be highly annoying. :/
