For my photos, I've gone Old-Skool. I use a PQI TravelFlash adapter to get the pictures off the CF cards that I use with my Canon Digital IXUS v.

To get the pictures up on my website, I use rsync, with ssh. Occasionally, I use FTP.

Once they're there, I generate the HTML using album, from MarginalHacks.com. It uses Perl for the theme engine, so it's very configurable. I don't do Perl, so I've only tweaked it a little.
